Car
Games for the Road
The ABC
Game
As you see the letters on billboards, signs, license plates, etc.
You shout out your letter and point. You may use letters from
anywhere except in the car. The letters must be found in alphabetical
order, no exceptions. Once a letter has been claimed, other players
cannot use the same letter. Make it harder by limiting to only
license plates or billboard signs. The winner is the first person
to find all the letters of the alphabet.
I Spy
Pick out an object that everyone can see. Then give them a clue
by saying, "I spy something..." (Say its shape, color
or size). The other players ask questions about what you see and
you only answer with "yes" or "no". The first
player who guesses right becomes the new spy.
What did
I bring on my trip?
Start this game out by saying, "I'm going on a trip and I'm
bringing..." The first player should name an item that starts
with the letter "A". After "A", the next player
will say the same thing but with the letter "B", and
so on.
I took
on a trip
To play this game, one player starts by saying, "I took a
trip and brought along a (fill in the blank)." The next player
goes and says, "I took a trip and brought along a (new item)
and (previous item)." Players continue this pattern until
someone misses one of the items previously mentioned. Keep going
until only one person is left. That person is the winner.
License
Plat Challenge
The goal is to see how many different license plates they can
find in a set time period. Players receive one point for a state
license plate, except for Alaska or Hawaii in which case they
get two points per plate. Three points are awarded for Canadian
plates and four points for one from another country. The one with
the most points at the end of the time period wins.
What am
I?
The first player says they are a person, place or thing. The other
player ask questions to figure out what the person is. The player
who guesses correctly goes next.
